TFS offers a variety of training classes that are specifically designed to meet the needs of each client. Our classes stress the practical application of the subject matter being presented. Classes are structured to be delivered in modules so that it affords each department the opportunity to conduct training sessions according to their individual member's availability.
PRACTICAL PUMP OPERATIONS
Class modules include conducting pump checks, handline operations including multiple lines, supply line operations including 3-inch, 4-inch and 5-inch hose, relay pumping, drafting, and pumping to master streams. This class is conducted at your location using your apparatus and equipment supplied via our portable water tanks so that you can flow maximum water volume while minimizing the amount of water actually used during the entire class.
FORCIBLE ENTRY
Using a forcible entry door simulator that we bring to your firehouse or training site, TFS instructors teach valuable techniques for one of the most basic and yet often overlooked fireground tasks. Class participants will learn how to read a door before forcing it, use forcible entry tools such as the irons (Halligan tool and flat head axe) and portable hydraulic rams, and how to control the door once its forced to minimize firefighter injury.
